There is always a need for new fragrances to offer consumers new and modern scents. As such, there is a constant need for odorants to achieve new effects and create new fashion trends.
Compounds with sweet, fresh and natural notes have always been important in the odorant industry, particularly in perfume compositions. Thus, the object of the present invention was to identify new fragrances and odorants with an interesting odor profile; particularly with a fresh and sweet note, but also exhibiting interesting notes and aspects to give them more odiferous character and complexity—without negative side-notes or post-notes.
Tetrahydrofuran derivatives of the present invention obtain these objectives and are toxicologically acceptable, i.e., suitable for cosmetic products, and in particular, for direct contact with the human skin. They also exhibit good stability and compatibility with other fragrances.
