According to a Data Bridge Market Research report, the baby food market in 2016 was estimated to be worth $53.5 billion and will grow by a CAGR of %7.5 from 2017 to 2024.

Defined as any easily consumed food for infants ages six months to two years, the baby food market is seeing growth due to the growing working population and lifestyle changes, resulting in less breastfeeding. The result has been an increase in milk formula products, along with an increasing awareness of supplements for baby health.

Similar to other flavor markets, the baby food flavor market is seeing changes, especially in the organic and natural product space. Brands like Earth’s Best Organic, Baby’s Only, Happy Baby and Vermont Organics offer organic baby formulas that include non-GMO ingredients and are USDA certified organic. For toddlers, Happy Tot offers an organic chickpea snack in organic cheddar and spinach flavor, a soft-baked banana and carrot flavored oat bar and other snacks with natural flavors.
