Methyl-3-methylthiopropionate

Natural Advantage introduces natural methyl 3-methylthiopropionate (FEMA# 2720, CAS# 13532-18-8). Occurring naturally in pineapple and wine, we like to refer to this product as the “jack of all trades” because it is so versatile. At high concentrations, this material can give onion and garlic flavors; nonetheless, at lower dilutions, it tastes like cooked pineapple. This product can also be used to enhance sweetness; it can make 5% sugar water taste like 7.5% sugar water at 5 ppm. It is also EU and U.S. natural, kosher, vegetarian and non-GMO.
