Below is a breakdown of each booth Perfumer & Flavorist+ editor, Jacqui Mueller visited during WPC 2024 and the products showcased as well as some images of products in action.
- Osmose introduced perfume professionals to the company's innovative products, olfactory booths including the large-size smart-Booth and the medium-size scent-Box. The booth also highlighted Osmose's latest innovation, the result of extensive R&D—the mini scent-Box designed to be placed on a desk, in a point of sale, etc. All booths are designed to enable perfumers to test their fragrances in a neutral environment, using simulated volumes and usage applications.
- Müller AG Verpackungen showcased the company's selection of Odorless Drums, Composite Drums and Tight Head Drums. Müller's Tight Head Drums are said to ensure perfect protection for liquid or solidifying substances. The high-quality closures offer a proven flange sealing system and plugs with various sealing materials allow using these drums for a wide range of products without safety-relevant restrictions.
- Givaudan created an imaginative landscape with a "molecular garden" theme. The company highlighted a variety of fragrances, consumer products and fine fragrances featuring Givaudan's new molecule Nympheal and showcased capabilities such as precursors and neurosciences. Givaudan's booth also showcased two digital tools, one of which was the "Piano Scent" which features 20 ingredients.
- Bedoukian showcased Methyl Anjoulate™ (BRI #535) on blotter and in a cinnamon and apple fragrance; Lavender Aldehype™ FCC (BRI #857-SUS) on blotter and in a lavender bouquet accord; Terrasol.™ FCC (BRI #818-SUS) on blotter and in a patchouli and amber accord; 1,3,5-undecatriene FCC (BRI #809-SUS) on blotter and in a vert de citron accord.
- The Research Institute for Fragrance Materials (RIFM) booth housed four representatives to demonstrate the value of RIFM and provided demonstrations of the world-renowned RIFM Database and answered questions about the benefits of RIFM Membership. Additionally, RIFM debuted a video detailing the results of the recently peer-reviewed and published low-exposure paper, which scientifically shows how low consumer exposure to fragrance-producing ingredients is and what that means for the safe use of the fragranced products.
- Capella Biotech (Shanghai) Co., LTD highlighted vanillin ex Ferulic Acid and Ambroxide. WPC 2024 was the very first exhibition for the company. Capella Biotech was founded in January this year.
- Agrumaria Reggina unveiled the company's latest venture, Essenza, an up-cycled fruit and botanical infusions, crafted to enrich fragrances with the delightful and unique notes of these ingredients, ensuring their presence even when their essential oils are unavailable. The company also showcased its citrus oils as well as its new catalog, designed specifically for the Fragrance & Beauty sector.
- Jalali Agarwood presented the company's different oud oils produced in-house, in addition to Oud Assafi.
- ACS International presented two new aroma ingredients at the WPC. Following the successful launch of Ambrettolide HC, ACS International introduced Onestolide, the company's latest biotech-based musk. Onestolide is 100% bio-based with non-GMO derived sugar as the sustainable and renewable carbon source. Onestolide is described as offering a combination of delicate, musky, floral, and soft balsamic notes, offering an "irresistible allure for those desiring refinement and sophistication in their olfactive creations." The second product presented was Florajasmone HC a floral said to be reminiscent of the "vibrant spirit of a blossoming garden, featuring dominant floral notes complemented by a refreshing twist and nuanced hints of herbs and a slight metallic impression."
- Master Parfums showcased Master Parfums, an Olfactory Game and Book as well as Pocket Quizzes. The new game of the Master Parfums collection is the Pocket Quiz The Perfume World Tour featuring 120 Q&As to discover the different cultures of perfume around the world.
- Ventos highlighted the company's latest innovation at WPC—Schinus molle Velouté—a co-distillation between mimosa absolute and Schinus molle CO2 extract coeur. The company also highlighted a new warehouse in the UK and are in the process of opening its subsidiary Ventós India.
- OQEMA showcased a lineup of ingredients including cis jasmone, oudhoil, q-scenone, q-telox, veralan and patchouli.
- Cosmo International celebrated the “Latina Souls” of Latin America. Yannick Maestro, general manager of the Natural Ingredients Division at Cosmo International Fragrances in Mougins, in the Grasse region, France, explained, “We wanted to highlight the rich biodiversity of the region but also the authentic olfactory heritage that is largely unsung in the Perfume industry. Each natural ingredient is a living soul that meets the hands of passionate individuals who take care of them. That is why we also wanted to pay homage to the local communities, these passionate souls that harvest our exclusive natural ingredients, who preserve their ancestral traditions, nurturing both the cultural and natural heritage of their territories.”
Cosmo revealed a natural ingredient—Petitgrain Lime Essence. Anne-Laure André, project manager at the Natural Ingredients Division, mentioned, “We carefully cultivate lime trees on our COSMO Colombian farm. We extract their fresh leaves to obtain a rare extract of Petitgrain Lime essence, rich in fruity, zesty, and vegetal notes.”
- Fragrance of the World's founding editor Michael Edwards took that stage on day one of WPC 2024. In April 2024, American Legends, its companion volume, was released in New York, then the United Kingdom. The booth offered signed copies by Edwards complete with a foreword by Leonard A. Lauder, tracing the evolution of American fragrances from 1752 until today.
- PT Van Aroma unveiled the expansion of Van Aroma’s direct presence into Europe with the launch of Van Aroma Europe. Recently, Van Aroma has significantly expanded the company's production capabilities at both Sulawesi and Bogor factories. This has notably increased output in eugenol and caryophyllene derivatives.
- IES Ingredients showcased raw materials from partners Givaudan and dsm-firmenich including NYMPHEAL™, AMBERMAX™ 50%, SAFRALEINE, NECTARYL, AMBROFIX™, dewfruit, bergalin and linalyl acetate.
- Aditi Essentials launched its Aura Chem division, said to be the company's latest venture into aroma chemical and flavor ingredients. Aditi also debuted four different sandal molecules to the market. A new generation has joined the business—Bharat Shetty (founder and director)'s daughter Yashna Shetty. Shetty is a chemical engineer with an MBA and is now a part of the Aurashine family.
- Moodify presented its AI-based reformulation tool, said to be capable of assisting perfumers and fragrance houses to reduce their formulas and palette to achieve greater sustainability, and safer formulas for the users and the environment, at a fraction of the time and cost of manual reformulation, while also optimizing for price. Moodify is establishing Moodify SAS (France) in order to "get closer to its market and benefit from French AI and perfumery excellence to further develop and commercialize its products."
- Zeon Corporation hosted its bio-based aroma ingredients including green notes, jasmine notes, cis-3-hexenyl salicylate B and cepionate.
- BASF attendees could experience four focus topics where experts met and discussed:
1. Innovation: Attendees could experience BASF's latest innovative products in new applications and get inspired by the innovative brand Isobionics® which stands for cutting-edge fragrance and flavor ingredients based on fermentation technology
2. Sustainability: Discovered fragrance and flavor ingredients designed to enable users to reach sustainability goals.
3. Regulatory expertise: Learn about BASF's portfolio that is safe by design and how the company continuously improves its portfolio "even beyond legislative and regulatory compliance."
4. Reliability: Attendees could learn about the global production network comprising world-scale plants in Germany, Malaysia, and as of 2026 in China.
This year, BASF's citral plant in Ludwigshafen celebrated its 20th anniversary emphasizing its expertise and experience in running efficient chemical plants in Verbund sites (integrated production site).
- Sacheerome highlighted Sach/Odocon, an innovative technology that is designed to control unpleasant aromas at the source. This advanced technology is said to address the foul odor through minimum inhibitory concentration and olfactory threshold value techniques for long-lasting freshness. Also on display was Sacheerome's range of Ayurvedic-inspired scents. The company's SACH/MAXICAPS utilizes an innovative method of fragrance delivery, known as an advanced delivery system. This system enables the controlled time-release of scent, resulting in enhanced performance and freshness. It employs a unique technology called interfacial polymerization microencapsulation, which further contributes to its effectiveness.
- Microcaps AG showcased its patented Perfume Pearls technology enabling high-concentration natural, vegan and ethanol-free perfume products. Microcaps AG has recently closed its Series A financing round of 9.3M CHF ($10.4 million) to further expand the company's production capacity.
- Daena Scent Branding showcased its state-of-the-art fragrance diffusing professional systems made in Europe, highlighting professional diffuser machines utilizing advanced nano nebulization technology, which provides a subtle and effective fragrance diffusion in the air. Additionally, the company presented its comprehensive B2B services, including scent formula creation and private-label products such as candles, reed diffusers, and room sprays. DAENA Scent Marketing has recently achieved ISO 9001 certification for the company's scent diffusion systems.
- Australian Native launched “Lattitude 17” Lemon Myrtle essential oil as part of “the new citrus campaign” with The Lermond Company.
- Petorose Alcones Pvt Ltd exhibited its specialty aroma molecules, highlighting new molecules like Chavibetol which has a sharp, spicy odor profile, P Propyl Phenol has a leather medicinal odor profile, among others. Petorose Alcones is based near Delhi, India and is a newcomer in this industry.
- TTT Biological Agarwood JSC showcased agarwood chip, agarwood essential oil, agarwood incense, agarwood bracelet, and agarwood essential oil extracted from supercritical carbon dioxide for medicine and cosmetic applications.
- Naturals Corner by Resperfuma marked the very first time, seven major natural ingredients producers, coming from the four corners of the planet, will join forces to share their values and commitment (many of whom participated in a panel on Day 2 of the conference).
- Agroforex Company (Benzoin and Aquilaria from Laos)
- Enio Bonchev (Rose Damascena from Bulgaria)

- Purong Essences presented products that can be applied for fragrance application, strong products are star anise oil/anethol, ginger oil, eucalyptus oil/eucalyptol, linalool ex ho, linalyl acetate, b-pinene, gamma-terpinene, ethyl 2-methyl butyrate, manzanate and etc., all are REACH covered. Purong is set to have its third factory launched into production in October in Thailand, with production beginning in November.

Actifs has recently set up a branch in Fez/Marocco for Actifs Précieux where the company will be building the next generation 4.0 factory including the world’s most advanced equipment using its DeepCapt® Supercritical Fluid Extraction (CO2) proprietary technology.
- Scimplify showcased live samples of the company's top products, allowing customers to experience their unique aromas firsthand as well as an extensive list of product offerings from the FF&F ingredients categories, highlighting the quality and diversity of the company's portfolio.
- Olfasense showcased its odor sampling and measurement equipment for use in fragrance testing and its accredited testing lab services in the evaluation of consumer goods and perfumery applications. Olfasense also debuted its innovative line of services in the field of neuroscientific testing, based on Electroencephalography (EEG) and Electrocardiogram (ECG) measurements. This technique allows the measurement of human emotions caused by fragrances based on electrophysiological signals. These tests are of extreme relevance for the fragrance industry when the target is the sensation/emotion claims that fragrances cause (e.g. relaxing, excitement, happiness, etc.). The company also presented its latest version of LiGaVa (stands for Liquid to Gas Vaporiser) device, which has been recently upgraded. It is designed to enable the transfer of liquids into a gaseous form in a standardized manner.
- Aquila Organics Pvt Ltd spotlit the company's array of aroma ingredients, unveiling 10 innovative molecules slated for launch in 2025. The company's state-of-art production facility is currently under construction and will be operational soon offering double the capacity of Aquila's current setup, spanning over an expansive 20,000 square meters.
- Bernardi showcased flagship raw materials from the company's sustainable supply chains from Comoros, Ivory Coast and Turkey as well as ingredients from the company's production sites in Morocco, Egypt and Indonesia. Bernardi also highlighted an exclusive innovation, its Ylang Extreme Moheli, said to offer exceptional olfactory properties that combines all the properties of an Extra Ylang but with a reduced Methyl Salicylate content to meet the requirements of the new European regulations on allergens.
