The event's founder Glenn Davis (aka mrcologne76), seeks to elevate and empower brands, influencers, and enthusiasts, shining a light on Black-owned fragrance brands to foster industry relations and create opportunities for everyone.

“As an influencer, I recognized the potential of my platform and felt a deep sense of obligation to act,” Davis says. “I firmly believe visibility plays a pivotal role in sparking curiosity and ultimately can drive sales for these brands.”

BOFW anticipated brand and creator interviews for this year's event include The Elemental Fragrances, Octavia Morgan, Bright Black Candles, Mystery Modern Mark, Lionel Nesbitt of Berje Inc., Zernell Gillie and more.

What's next? Davis looks to launch an in-person BIPOC Scent Expo in 2026.
