On February 14, 2025, fragrance house Eurofragance announced the appointment of Joan Pere Jiménez as chief executive officer, effective January 1, 2026. Current CEO Laurent Mercier will assume a new role on the company’s board of directors starting in 2026.

Jiménez has worked with Eurofragance for over ten years. He joined the company as chief operations officer, and has held the position of chief marketing officer since January 2024. He has worked with the company’s management committee throughout his tenure, including serving as general manager for the Europe, Africa and Turkey region through 2021 and the Asia Pacific region in 2023.

“I approach this new challenge with great enthusiasm and responsibility,” said Jiménez. “I am grateful for the trust the board of directors, the founding family members and the management team have placed in me. During the remainder of this year, I will continue to work with Laurent to ensure an orderly transition and carry the vision that has brought us this far, focusing on excellent service, innovation, a firm commitment to sustainability and a people-focused model.”

Company officials stated that Jiménez and Mercier will work together throughout the transition period to ensure a smooth transfer of responsibilities and continuity of operations.

“Leading Eurofragance through this exciting period of growth and transformation has been a true honor,” Mercier said. “I am filled with gratitude for the unwavering commitment of our teams and the trust they placed in me on this journey. Joan Pere has been a pivotal part of our history, and I have no doubt that, with his vision and leadership, the company will continue to thrive.”

Chairman and founder of Eurofragance Santiago Sabatés added, “We are particularly pleased that the transition is being made with a person from within the company, who knows Eurofragance perfectly well and whose contribution has been decisive for delivering the results and achievements that were attained during Laurent’s tenure.”
