Long-time member of the American Society of Perfumers (ASP) Board member, Anthony C. Riggi, passed away on May 25, 2023.
Riggi most recently was the senior perfumer for Mane, previously holding the position of vice president senior perfumer at Symrise.
He served on the ASP Board of Directors from 1999-2002. The ASP shared the following to honor Riggi:
"Here is the one and only, Anthony Riggi. Anthony was born in Franklin Square, Brooklyn 1946. Anthony was 77 when he passed. At one time prior to his perfumery career, Anthony drove a beer truck. He also owned a nightclub in Bayshore, Long Island. He played the saxophone and sang in bands throughout his youth. Anthony is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cassandra from Bradenton, Florida, his two boys, Anthony and Chris and three grandchildren, two girls and one boy.
His favorite singer was Frankie Valle. He most recently worked at Mane USA [as a senior perfumer], was VP at Symrise prior, and was a true artist. Anthony also was a Rock 'n' Roll trivia aficionado and through countless challenges with Anthony could never be stumped. He was a beautiful guy.
He was trained by Vito Lenoci. He also worked closely with Bill MacKay and they were a dynamic duo in the private label fragrance industry. He is sorely missed by everyone!"
