As Europe regional director, Perrichet will lead IFRA’s political and public affairs strategy in Brussels, including the development of IFRA’s advocacy strategy on the European Green Deal and the Chemical Strategy for Sustainability.

Perrichet was born in France and previously worked with Specialized Nutrition Europe as executive director for nine years. Perrichet previously worked as a lawyer focusing in European law and policy.

On their appointment, Perrichet said, “I am delighted to be joining IFRA. Fragrance has an essential place in the daily lives of Europeans, bringing a sense of joy, comfort or cleanliness. The fragrance industry also brings real social and economic value to Europe. I look forward to supporting our members as we navigate political and regulatory change in Europe, showing how fragrance is a key part of both Europe's proud cultural heritage and its innovative and competitive future.”

IFRA president, Martina Bianchini, said, “IFRA's long-term mission is to promote the safe use and enjoyment of fragrance around the world—and we share the European Union's goal of making the transition to innovative, safe and sustainable chemicals. As an industry, we are at the heart of a sophisticated value chain that runs from farmers and raw materials producers upstream, to consumer goods companies, retailers and consumers downstream. We therefore play an essential social and economic role, providing jobs and driving innovation, as well as delivering value to people across Europe.Aurélie's skills and experience will be crucial in helping us to highlight these facts to European decision-makers, build dialogue and ensure that the fragrance industry can contribute to Europe's sustainable growth strategy as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic.”
