Perfumer & Flavorist magazine is saddened to report Arthur Freitag of The John D. Walsh Co. has passed away.
According to a company notice, “Arthur G. Freitag Jr., 59, resident of Ringwood, New Jersey, slipped softly into the night on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011. Art fought cancer stoically for 18 months and carried himself with humor and grace. He was an integral part of The John D. Walsh Co., Inc.’s family for the past 11 years, and he held his friendships with colleagues in the fragrance and flavor industry close to his heart.
“Art leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years, Laura; his sons Glen, Jeff and Tyler; and a close knit community that pulled together to comfort his loving family in their time of need. Art’s warm smile and bright blue eyes will forever be missed.”
