Neil Katz Joins TPR Holdings

TPR Holdings has hired Neil Katz as a special advisor, effective Feb. 1, 2011. Katz will be involved in formulating strategy across the entire TPR consumer portfolio, assisting in evaluating acquisitions and other new opportunities.

Katz began his career in the beauty industry in 1977 at Revlon, where he went from director of market research & sales forecasting to president of the beauty care division. He then led the Liz Claiborne prestige fragrance division as president of Liz Claiborne Cosmetics, establishing brands such as Curve, Mambo, Lucky and Candies. Katz also served as president and CEO of Gemini Cosmetics, Inc., where he created fragrance brands for KISS and Tommy Bahama. Most recently, he served as the CEO and chairman of the board of Parlux Fragrances. During his time at Parlux, he created fragrances for Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson, Queen Latifah, Marc Ecko, Nicole Miller and Josie Natori. In 2009, WWD recognized Katz with the Beauty Biz Award as Innovative Marketer of the Year.
