Solvay’s Rhodia chemical producer in Brazil shut four of its 22 output units at the Paulina plant amid a water shortage in Sao Paulo, according to a Bloomberg report.

Sugar and ethanol output so far hasn’t been affected because mills are usually located near water sources and have dams for water reserve, Andre Elia, Unica’s water consultant, told Bloomberg news.
