IFF master perfumer Dominique Ropion, working with perfumer Andrew Everett, created Vendetta Donna, while dsm-firmenich master perfumer Marie Salamagne composed Vendetta Uomo.
Vendetta Donna is a floral gourmand woody fragrance centered on the exclusive Tuberose Osmobloom, produced for L'Oreal by Cosmo International Fragrances using an Air-Capture extraction technology designed to preserve the flower's scent at dawn. Ropion amplified tuberose's creamy, narcotic facets, while Everett introduced a signature red orange nectar accord inspired by Italy's tarocco rosso orange (a blood orange variety) and accented with salty nuances to create a modern gourmand twist. The composition settles into an exclusive sandalwood accord for a warm, skin-like trail.
Vendetta Uomo, by Salamagne, is a woody spicy gourmand that opens with Peruvian ginger CO₂ extract and Italian citrus before evolving into a cinnamon liquor accord layered over patchouli essence and modern woody notes. The result is a textured composition balancing freshness, spice and sensual woods.
The launch marks Valentino Beauty's first major prestige fragrance franchise since 2020 and pays tribute to the original Vendetta, introduced by founder Valentino Garavani in 1991. The new duo is positioned around the concept of "us against the world," celebrating emotional authenticity in an increasingly algorithm-driven culture.
Supporting the launch is a campaign photographed by Inez & Vinoodh, starring newly announced Valentino Beauty ambassadors Dakota Johnson and Alexander Skarsgård. Vendetta will debut in the U.S. in late August.
