Scentbird Acquires Drift Car Air Freshener Subscription

Scentbird, a subscription-based fragrance company, has announced its acquisition of Drift, a subscription-based car air freshener business.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Known details include Scentbird and Drift will maintain their separate subscription models with a bundled offering set to debut in 2023. For $8 a month, Drift customers receive a scent in metal, wood or stone freshener, with each one coming with an attachable metal clip.

Drift currently has seven different scents for customers to choose from:

Pine offers scent notes of mountain pine and musk. 

Amber offers scent notes of fresh rain, amber, lavender and sage. 

Grove offers scent notes of mountain greens and sugared citrus.

Teak offers scent notes of musk, amber, teak and cedar.

Mill offers scent notes of balsam pine and juniper berry.

Coffee offers scent notes of roasted coffee bean, dark chocolate espresso and vanilla.

Cabana offers scent notes of coconut, sea salt, bergamot and cedarwood.
