The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) has announced it is postponing the Global Fragrance Summit that was planned for April 1 and April 2, 2020 due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak.

Based on the coronavirus impact in Asia and globally, the IFRA board’s decision was not taken lightly, but had become unavoidable in light of the advice provided by the World Health Organization (WHO).

This decision was also influenced by the health alert status in Singapore and the number of recent cases in the country, as well as the advice and travel policies of IFRA members.

Currently, IFRA plans to hold the summit later in 2020 in Singapore.

For registered participants, all registrations for the April event will be transferred to the new event. Those who still plan to join IFRA on the new date, have a secured place.

Those who already know they do not plan to join the IFRA for the new event, can contact the organization’s event organizers at [email protected] to cancel their participation.

Individuals who have booked their accommodations at Fairmont Singapore or Swissotel the Stamford, using the dedicated Global Fragrance Summit link, can automatically cancel their bookings. Bookings at any other location will have to be changed on the individual's own.

Individuals with further questions are encouraged to contact [email protected].
