As the flavor business adjusts to changes in the supply chain and deals with the impact of weather events and global warming, the industry is increasingly looking for ways to protect its bottom line. At Flavorcon 2018, Joe Macdonald, VP of global planning for IFF, and Rich DiBernardo, president of Initech Inc., will discuss how to do this through streamlining and improving processes in flavor manufacturing.

During “The Perfect Plant: Improving Flavor Manufacturing,” the two will describe the path to a perfect plant. They will review well-known improvement processes such as lean manufacturing and discuss the theory of constraints and Six Sigma. Additionally, MacDonald will present on his new predictive modeling and his thoughts on the future of flavor manufacturing.
