Facticerie, home to the world’s largest collection of perfume factices, announced a new fragrance exhibition: “The Scent of Dalí: A Surrealist Celebration of Fragrance Fantasies.” The exhibition will run May 9 and 10, 2025, at the Facticerie Museum in Hackensack, N.J.
The exhibition will coincide with Dalí’s birthday and include the only known complete collection of his oversized perfume sculptures. The sculptures have been reinterpreted into immersive scent instillations. Accompanying the exhibit are floral arrangements by Venezuelan artist Mercedes Acosta.
“As a Latin woman, I believe memory is fragrance,” Acosta said. “This is my love letter to Dalí — and to every dream that refuses to fade.”
“Dalí showed us that the surreal is more real that reality,” added Sudhir Gupta, founder of Facticerie. “At Facticerie, we honor him not with paint — but with perfume.”
