Predicting double-digit growth through 2012, Mike McNello has assumed the role of vice president, flavor and fragrance ingredients division, at Fontarome Chemical (St. Francis, WI). He was previously director of flavors. In his new position, McNello is responsible for the company's global flavor and fragrance operations, including Paris-based subsidiary FCI SAS. He is responsible for strategic planning in areas of R&D, technology and manufacturing. Early next year the company will be moving French activities into a new operation and distribution center, while simultaneously expanding its marketing presence in several key locations, including Asia, Russia, Eastern Europe and Latin America.
Of the appointment, McNello said, "We successfully grew our US sales last year and we anticipate to expand our successes into Europe. We fully expect double-digit growth in both revenue and bottom line profit to continue into the next five years. This growth will come organically and will be fueled by a combination of new products, expansion of our existing customer base, and a focus on key geographic growth regions."
