ACI Announces 3 Senior Promotions

The American Cleaning Institute (ACI) has announced three promotions of senior team members.

Douglas Troutman has been named general counsel and senior vice president, government affairs. He joined ACI in 2007 as director of government affairs; he later served as general counsel and vice president, government affairs. Troutman previously served as senior manager, legislative affairs at Underwriters Laboratories Inc.’s Washington, D.C., office; and senior manager, government relations at the National Electrical Manufacturers Association in Arlington, Virginia.

Brian Sansoni now serves as senior vice president, communications, outreach & membership. Since joining the organization in 2000 he has led external communications efforts and served in various leadership roles, most recently as vice president of communications, outreach and membership. Sansoni previously served as senior manager for public policy communications at the Grocery Manufacturers association, and has been a press secretary for four members of congress.

Ceara Flake has been appointed assistant general counsel. Flake, who joined ACI in 2015 as director of legal affairs, has served as a contract attorney on behalf of a number of multinational corporations; an adjunct professor at Howard University’s School of Legal Communication and the District of Columbia School of Law; an associate attorney at Temple Law Offices in Washington, D.C.; and a judicial law clerk at the Superior Court of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
