WFFC Continues Charitable Efforts

In an effort to continue its charitable contributions both within and outside the industry, the Women in Flavor & Fragrance Commerce (WFFC) is supporting the organization Bottomless Closet. This year, the WFFC held three clothing drives during its industry events, including its January Business Meeting, its Woman of The Year Award Dinner and the WFFC Fall Seminar. In addition, the WFFC made a monetary donation to support Bottomless Closet’s efforts to provide interview skills, business clothing, and ongoing career development for the economically disadvantaged women in New York City.

Also, in June 2010, the WFFC funded a loan for Kiva’s Las Mujercitas Trabajadoras (The Hard-Working Women) Group, which will support women entrepreneurs to grow their retail businesses in the food and cosmetics industry in Mexico, and in August 2010, the WFFC Cincinnati chapter volunteered its time at Matthew 25: Ministries in Blue Ash, Ohio, an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization. “The WFFC stands firm in its commitment to support women, within as well as outside our industry. We seek to give back to the community by contributing to charities, which provide various types of assistance, both in the US and around the globe," says WFFC president Joanne Kennedy.
