Senomyx’s third-quarter loss widened to $4.4 million from $3.48 million a year earlier. Total revenues were $5.9 million for the third quarter ended September 30, 2014 and $6.7 million for the third quarter ended September 30, 2013.
The company expects the first commercial sale of a product containing Sweetmyx S617, a flavor ingredient used to reduce the sweetener level while maintaining a sweet taste, will occur mid-2015. It also continues to expect that growth in commercial revenues over the next several years will be driven primarily by direct sales in the sweet taste program collaboration with PepsiCo.
