Citromax has named Andy Blum, who has worked in the flavor and fragrance and essential oils industry for 31 years, as its new vice president of development.
“Citromax is the only company in the flavor and fragrance industry to own its own fruit processing," said Vivian Glueck, the company's president. "And we have brought in Andy who has extensive expertise in essential oils and citrus flavors to help us produce flavor components and beverage bases that can be used to provide superior offerings to our consumer goods customers”.
She further stated, “We also would like to expand on our strength in organic lemon (essential oils and juice concentrates), as we are one of the world’s largest organic lemon processors, by launching a complete product stream for organic lemon products. We feel that Andy will be a tremendous asset to help us reach these goals”.
Blum was employed by Phoenix Aromas and Essential oils as vice president product development for four years, creating essential oils products to solve specific needs of flavor/fragrance and consumer goods customers and overseeing the technical team. Prior to that, he spent eight and one half years with Symrise as its global director of citrus business development. He also worked at Polarome Mfg. Company for 14 years in various product development and technical roles.
