“It uses a patented combination of synchronized radiofrequency to stimulate collagen and elastin production and HIFESa facial muscle stimulation to contract and restore facial muscles—improving facial volume and youthful contours in a way no other non-invasive treatment can,” Ferris says.
BTL, one of the largest physiotherapy companies, lends expertise in muscle stimulation and rehabilitation to the creation of Emface, Ferris adds. This deep-rooted knowledge has positioned BTL as a global provider in aesthetics and wellness, and Emface builds on this foundation, with the addition of the submentum and eye applicator to expand what’s possible in facial rejuvenation, he says.
As many patients seek aesthetic treatments to address aging, concerns like facial puffiness and fullness are priorities. An Allergan study [1] revealed that 47% of people are bothered by their double chin, with 49% saying it negatively affects their self-perception.
Ferris says Emface applicators directly target these high-priority areas that many patients are concerned about.
The new Emface eye applicator also targets puffiness, improving skin tone, elasticity and muscle strength using electromagnetic stimulation and radiofrequency energy to rejuvenate the skin and reduce signs of aging around the eyes, per an April 1 announcement. Recommended treatment entails 4-6 sessions for 20 minutes 2-3 weeks apart.
“Rather than categorizing Emface solely as an aesthetic treatment, it should be viewed through the lens of wellness and longevity,” Ferris says. “Facial muscles play a critical role in overall facial structure and aging, and Emface’s precision targeting aligns with the future of non-invasive rejuvenation.”
