Perfumer & Flavorist+ connects with fragrance expert Michael Edwards to discuss updates to his Fragrance Wheel.
"Fragrances of the World," first published for nearly 40 years by Michael Edwards, has adopted "a more inclusive vocabulary" by doing away with the outdated fragrance term "oriental," and has instead adopted the term "ambery."
The interview was conducted shortly after Michael Edwards made the announcement of the change in late June 2021. In this one-on-one chat, Edwards discusses updating his Fragrance Wheel and sheds light on the future of the industry.
