Lemon Oil In 1982, Kekelidze et al. analyzed the peel oil of the Novogruzinski cultivar of lemon produced in Georgia (at that time part of USSR).
Koepsel and Surburg (1988) characterized two new naturally occurring ketones in orange oil. They were iden– tifi ed as (exo)-cis-4,7-dimethylbicyclo[3.2.1]oct-3-en-6-one. The authors noted in this report that both ketones were also found in lemon oil.
Dellacassa et al. (1991) compared the composition of lemon oil produced by the FMC process throughout the season in Uruguay. The range of composition of the oils is shown in Table I.
