On December 5, 2024, North American flavor producer FlavorSum announced the launch of its 2025 Seasonal Flavor Guide for food and beverage developers. The guide offers an overview of seasonal flavor trends across spring, summer, fall and winter in various categories. 

FlavorSum’s chief commercial officer Dave Franz said, “We know that four in ten North American shoppers will respond to limited-time food and beverages. Designing a seasonal flavor requires an understanding of the fit between the taste profile and shopper expectations. We can support seasonal LTOs with insights, flavor creation, application support, process validation and commercialization expertise."

The sugar confectionary category experienced the largest growth in launches with a seasonal/limited edition claim in the past five years at a 27% increase.
