Naturex acknowledges the constant change of the ingredient supply chain and understands that solving the industry's challenges through innovative technologies needs partnerships with other parties. With this in mind, and with innovation at the core of the company, Naturex announced the launch of Ingenium, an open innovation program.
“Open innovation is key to our BRIGHT2020 strategic plan. Our aim is to generate 10% sales through new product developments by 2020, and we know that innovation cannot be provided solely by our own research. By crowd-sourcing innovation, Naturex can improve customer value, drive advancements across industries and, last but not least, foster local economic development. We are very proud to be shaping the future of the ingredients industry," said Olivier Rigaud, CEO of Naturex.
Naturex's goal with Ingenium is to advance technological research by sourcing and supporting innovative ideas from different sources. As part of this program, Naturex will be partnering with start-up companies whose business ideas and tech could be valuable to the company's development.
Along with this initiative, Naturex is establishing TAG (Technology Advisory Group). This group will include technology business actors and academic opinion leaders.
