West Coast Flavor Industry Forum Offers Discussion on Flavoring Laws, Organics

The upcoming 11th Annual West Coast Flavor Industry Forum, put on by The National Association of Flavors and Food-Ingredient Systems, The Chemical Sources Association and The Society of Flavor Chemists, will feature presentations and discussions on regulatory affairs, organic flavors, flavoring laws and more, and will take place from 9:30 am–2:30 pm on March 10 at the Crowne Plaza Anaheim Resort in Garden Grove, California.

The event includes a networking breakfast and concludes with a networking lunch and dessert bar. Featured presenters and presentations include Dr. John Mwangi from Nestle’s scientific & regulatory affairs, talking about consumers’ desire for more natural products; John Hallagan, FEMA’s general counsel, outlining changes to U.S. natural flavoring laws and the differences between U.S. and EU natural flavoring laws; Gwendolyn Wyard, processing program technical specialist for Oregon Tilth, sharing her knowledge of certified organic flavors; and an open panel Q&A, moderated by Tony Moore, chief flavorist at Flavor Producers.
