However, because of its odour similarity with tansy oil, the oil would probably only be used in compositions where tansy oil has been used. Because there is no composition known to the authors in which tansy oil is a major component, the authors feel that potential exploitation of S. chamaecyparissus oil for commercial use is probably limited.
