Iberchem (Murcia, Spain) will begin operating its flavor operations under the Scentium name starting in October, reflecting the company's strategy of separating its flavor operations from its fragrance business.
The fragrances and flavors manufacturer said the Scentium logo encompasses all of its flavor products used in its flavor sectors including food and drink (drinks, sweet and savory sectors), as well as other applications such as tobacco and pharmaceuticals.
Following its launch, the Scentium brand will be rolled out to all of Iberchem's commercial range, starting with distribution in countries where it has a direct presence. Later, it will be introduced in other countries through its network of specialist distributors.
In 2009, Iberchem decided to separate its two lines, flavors and fragrances, creating specific research and development as well as production centers for each.
