Naturex (Avignon, France) was awarded “Best Innovative Stevia Product 2010” for its Talin ingredient at the Malta Stevia 2010 conference, which is organized by the International Society of Antioxidants in Nutrition and Health (ISANH) in October. Talin (thaumatin) is a low-calorie flavor modifier, a natural protein physically extracted from the Katemfe fruit, Thaumatococcus daniellii. It has a range of applications for pharmaceuticals, supplements, foods and drinks, particularly in the fields of flavor modification and enhancement.
