Michael has over ten years of experience working with a wide range of ingredients and applications, formulating foods and beverages, flavors, sports and adult nutrition products, pet food, and confection to make the best use of plant proteins, dairy, texturants, vitamins, gum acacia, and natural colors.

Isabelle Jaouen, Ph.D., R&D Director, Alland & Robert
As an industry expert in hydrocolloids with extensive technical knowledge of natural gums, Dr. Jaouen leads a team of scientists in A&R’s physiochemical and microbiological laboratories performing deep-dive research since 1912. She also oversees all A&R’s research partnerships with internationally recognized universities. Prior to her work at A&R, Dr. Jaouen worked in quality control and research in the flavor and ingredient industries. Her leadership and guidance has allowed A&R to distinguish itself as the leading innovator in natural gums. She holds a PhD in Food Chemistry and an engineering degree in Food Science.
