The UK Flavour Association is set to host London Flavour Day on April 8, 2024, at The Wellcome Collection. The one-day event will be composed of talks designed for attendees to gain insights into the crucial role of flavor in the food choices we make, as well as how we can champion the path to increased sustainability.

 London Flavour Day Speakers/Sessions

  • Martin Yeomans, professor of Experimental Psychology at the University of Sussex. Major research themes include appetite, memory and cognition, expected satiety, dietary learning, eating behaviour, portion size, and food choice, publishing over 140 papers on these topics
  • Jeff Brunsom, professor of Experimental Psychology at the University of Bristol where he co-leads the Nutrition and Behaviour Unit in the School of Psychological Science
  • Laura Wilkinson is an experimental psychologist with a research interest in eating behaviour and weight management. She is an associate professor in Psychology at Swansea University, UK
  • Helen McNair, technical director of Lionel Hitchen Ltd where she is responsible for quality, food safety, legal compliance and leads the sustainability programme.
  • James Smith, vice president and managing director for food and beverage company Kalsec EMEA
  • Professor Avtar Singh Matharu is senior lecturer and deputy director of the Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence (GCCE) at York University and PGT MSc Green Chemistry and Sustainable Industrial Technology Course Director
