Flavorcon 2019: Where Delicious Innovation Begins, presented by Perfumer & Flavorist magazine, showcased presentations from top flavorists, innovators and industry professionals alongside the Flavor Expo which hosted over 70 exhibitors from 27 countries. The event drew over 600 attendees to the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 11-12, 2019.
This annual celebration of flavor is distinctively tailored for flavor industry professionals such as flavorists, food scientists, sales experts, flavored product developers, consumer packaged goods professionals and sensory staff.
Innovations: Cleaner, Greener, More Sustainable
Keynote speaker Dave Pirazzini, senior manager at Innovation REBBL, opened the conference stage Monday with a look at fueling innovation and brand loyalty in the face of clean label trends and legislation during his presentation “Impact Innovation: Authenticity and Transparency Delivering Meaningful Consumer Products.” Transparency and authenticity were highlighted as the most essential assets: “To be the most effective, brands must stay true to themselves and not compromise on the values and mission on which they were founded.” Pirazzini also cited the importance of creating products which provide value to the consumer as well as the company.
