Carbery Group's Synergy Flavors Inc. has now expanded Synergy Aromas, its São Paulo-based business, through the unveiling of a new manufacturing and technology center for its taste and flavor business this week.
As announced in August, Synergy Flavors acquired the local flavor operation in Brazil in order to strengthen its supply chain in the country and Latin America as well as its connection with food and beverage companies in the region.
This marks the third acquisition by Synergy during the past year. In September 2011, the company purchased Sensus (Hamilton, Ohio), a producer of natural botanical essences, as well as Sethness Greenleaf (Chicago) in October 2011, a manufacturer of sweet flavors with 130 years of experience in beverage flavorings.
