International Flavors & Fragrances Inc.’s fourth-quarter sales rose 4% to $756.1 million and its full-year sales were up 5% at $3.09 billion as it integrated Aromor into its fragrances business, which boosted overall results.
For its fragrances business unit, 2014 sales rose 7% to $101.3 million. Fine fragrances grew 2% and consumer fragrances rose 5%, led by fabric care as well as solid performances in hair care, toiletries, home care and personal wash. Fragrance ingredients local currency sales rose 18% including 15% growth associated with the Aromor acquisition.
For its flavor business unit, full-year sales increased 2% to $1.5 billion and Latin America performed best on a regional basis. North America, although it improved in the second half, remained “challenged,” the company said.
