Givaudan has launched its home fragrance recommendation app iPerfumer Home for the North American market.
Following the success of fine fragrance application iPerfumer, Givaudan now offers a home scents version of its recommendation service, available on all iOS devices from the App Store.
iPerfumer Home serves as a personal fragrance consultant. It has been designed and built to guide product choices for consumers bewildered by the sheer number of available products, or those looking to explore new fragrance types or wanting to use scent as part of their home style statement.
“Digitally active consumers have embraced mobile and are changing the way they make purchasing decisions," said Lisa Lewis, creative centre director for Givaudan Fragrances Corp. "This new breed of active, informed and assertive consumers are identified by their need for independence, uniqueness and participation. We believe that iPerfumer Home meets their needs," said Lewis.
People want to stay up to date with new launches that feature their favorite scent notes for the home, according to Lewis. In recent years there has been an increase in the demand for home fragrances such as candles (according to the U.S. National Candle Association, candles are now used in seven out of 10 U.S. households).
iPerfumer Home allows users to create a profile populated with information about the types of scents they like. By browsing fragrances through categories of smell, brand, season and home, the application selects choices based on preferences that can be added to a wish list of favorites. iPerfumer Home can also recommend the nearest major retail stores that stock users’ favorite home fragrances.
