On November 22-23, 2023, Beauty Cluster hosted the 5th edition of The Barcelona Perfumery Congress (BPC) 2023, gathering over 1,000 attendees and 40 exhibitors in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat.
The BPC 2023 curated 50 presentations discussing various topics including the entire value chain of the perfumery world, consumer tastes and preferences as well as upcoming trends.
The institutional welcome was presented by the president of the Beauty Cluster, Marc Crous, who, along with the manager of the Beauty Cluster, Ivan Borrego, welcomed the secretary of Business and Competitiveness of the Government of Catalonia, Albert Castellanos. Also participating in this welcome was the development director of the Perfume Academy Foundation, Cristina de Catalina.
As part of the celebration of the fifth edition of the Barcelona Perfumery Congress, awards were presented to the winners of the Barcelona Perfumery Awards. The awards are designed to recognize innovation, knowledge, disruption, and a commitment to sustainability in companies dedicated to the fragrance and perfumery sector. Awards were given in 10 categories, and authorities from the Ajuntament de L’Hospitalet de Llobregat attended, including Nuria Marín, the mayor of Hospitalet de Llobregat, and other personalities such as the Tinent d'Alcaldia de Promoció Econòmica, José Antonio Alcaide, the First Tinent d'Alcaldia de L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Francesc J. Belver, Montse Pérez, and the head of the Mayor's Office of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Susana Abellán.
The sixth edition of the BPC is scheduled for June 18-19, 2025.
