On December 1, 2023, Residual and Label hosts EVE, a performance at Saint Mary the Virgin Church (145 W 46th St, New York, NY). The performance will follow a palindromic curatorial model and feature artists working with scent, language, and movement. EVE is said to focus on challenging traditional representation and questioning how storytelling can exist outside of linear narrative structures.

The evening will feature interwoven performances by four dancers (Spenser Stroud, Iris Sewell, Louisa Miller, Henry Lee), five readers (Samuel Levine, Ali Royals, Fiona Rose, Luna Wright, Whitney Mallett), and one scent artist (Ro Miller). All performers will be responding to the following prompt: Where does meaning lie when you lose the direction of language?

The event is set to be held from 7-9 p.m.
