World Taste and Smell Association, a group of creators, professionals and scientists, is establishing September 14 as a worldwide appreciation for the senses of taste and smell.

This year, the association has planned a webcast, a global survey, activities, including an in-person event in New York City, and a developing grant program to spotlight and support innovators in taste and smell.
Attendees can participate virtually by checking out a virtual panel featuring the following speakers:
Mandy Aftel, Natural Essence Expert, Writer, and Perfume Historian
Jeanette Andrews, Scent Illusionist
Oghogho Braimah, Ph.D., award-winning ENT & neck surgeon
DJoel Mainland, Ph.D., member, Monell Chemical Senses Center and digital olfaction pioneer
Barry Smith, Ph.D., philosopher and sensory expert
Tian Yu, Ph.D. , director of sensory at Aigora
The event will be held on September 14 at 12:00 pm EST and is free with advance registration.
To participate in person, attendees can purchase tickets for an immersive sensory celebration fundraiser reception at The Salon Project, Perfumarie, the EXQ Cafe in Equinox Rockefeller Center in New York City. The reception will feature Perfumed Spirits, a cocktail and fragrance pairings experience by Mindy Yang, one of the founding members of the World Taste and Smell Day Association.
