Tony Moore
Tony Moore has been an active flavor chemist for 35-ish years and is currently engaged as a contracted research flavor chemist in Diageo’s global Commercial Science team. Tony is afflicted with a constant curiousity of the aroma and flavor chemistries of all sorts of plants and foods and drinks and maintains a research garden and lab to satisfy these curiosities. Tony and friends will soon launch a collaborative compendium of flavor and aroma ingredient information at FlavScents.com and a video series that explores the chemistry of the smells that surround us called “What’s That Smell?”
Lisa Navarro, Ph.D.
Lisa Navarro, Ph.D., provides strategic scientific support to drive solutions for her client’s most challenging product safety and regulatory compliance needs. Leveraging industrial experience she advises clients on services including GRAS Notifications and Determinations, Cell Culture Consultations, cGMP Reviews, Due Diligence Support, New Dietary Ingredient Notifications, Cosmetic Formulation Safety Reviews, Dietary Intake Assessments, and Food Contact Substance Notifications. He is the author of more than 200 original scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and co-inventor of many patents. He is the recipient of the American Chemical Society (ACS) Affordable Green Chemistry Award in 2022. Abu-Omar holds the Endowed Mellichamp Chair in Green Chemistry and is a Professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB).
- Yang Zhou, Global Sales Director at SiyoMicro Biotech: Yang Zhou is dedicated to promoting precision fermentation in nutrition, cosmetics, food, and Ag segments, aiming to provide high-quality ingredients with a fraction of the carbon emissions, land requirements, and water usage. Zhou holds a Master's Degree in International Business from the University of Mannheim as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of California, Berkley, Haas School of Business.
