In today’s fast pace world, flavor developers must not only keep up with the demands from consumers but adjust to an ever-evolving regulatory landscape. At Flavorcon 2018, the flavor industry will examine the current state of regulatory affairs with a presentation from Joanna Drake, general counsel, Flavor Extract and Manufacturers Association (FEMA)
During her presentation, “Flavor Regulations for Flavorists - Key Issues for Flavor Development & Marketing,” Drake will discuss the history of FEMA and how it addresses flavor regulations. Additionally, she will address the impact of federal regulatory activity surrounding the disclosure of biotechnology in food and California’s Prop 65, along with issues related to natural labeling.
