Among these, mention must be made of a-terpinyl, l-menthanyl, myrcenyl, dihydromyrcenyl, benzyl, styrallyl 3,3-dimethyhdlyl and carvyl esters, ethers and alcohols. The inexpensive reagents, convenient reaction conditions and suitability for large-scale operation are attractive features of the method.
