Natural trans-α-bergamotene 80 (FEMA# 4960, CAS 13474-59-4) has never been isolated before but Isobionics succeeded in producing natural trans-abergamotene by fermentation. The product is a clear colorless to pale yellow liquid and has a very mild, waxy oily citrus note. It dries waxy candle-like, olive oil. The taste can be described as citrus, especially lime and lemon, light fruity, orchard fruit and oily.
