Berjé has announced that the Carteret facility earned a 96% “Excellent” rating by SQF. The rating reflects Berjé’s commitment to safety and security and speaks to other recent successes in quality assurance.
In 2021, Berjé revamped the Food Safety Team, to ensure each employee remained compliant with new facility standards. The initiative complied with SQF’s “Food Safety Culture'' requirements, along with plans for improvement and quality assurance expansions.
Another component of meeting these guidelines is the Compliance Group, combining regulatory and quality teams under the same umbrella. The project is headed by senior vice president of Compliance, Richard Hofmann.
