Alexander Mohr Appointed President of International Fragrance Association

On November 14, 2024, The International Fragrance Association announced the appointment of Alexander Mohr as president of the organization. He succeeds Martina Bianchini, who has been in the position since 2016. 

“I am honored to take on the role of president of IFRA and continue the organization’s commitment to safe and sustainable fragrance,” said Dr. Mohr. 

Dr. Mohr served as the executive director of the European Flavor Industry Association from 2016 to 2024. His previous role include secretary general of the Association of European Producers and Steel Packaging and leading public affairs for the European container glass industry. He has also held roles as a political consultant and lecturer, and Dr. Mohr is a published author on policy and regulatory issues. 

Past president Martina Bianchi said, “Alexander’s deep understanding of the trade association landscape and his pan-sectoral expertise make him the ideal person to guide IFRA forward. I am thrilled to see him take on this position and am confident he will continue the drive towards IFRA’s vision.”
