Norex Flavours Pvt Ltd launched its sustainability project with the objective of positively impacting the environment, community members and local business ecosystem.

Project Sankalp intends to create a sustainable farming model for natural mint, ensuring:

  1. Improvement in income & productivity of mint farmers, along with the implementation of GACP (Good Agricultural and Collection Practices) and making all mint products traceable to the field level.
  2. Work for empowerment of women farmers and laborers.
  3. Conservation of Environment by cutting down on unnecessary usage of pesticides and fertilizers and by employing noble irrigation techniques to save water.

The project is aligned with eight of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aims to impact over 6,500 community members residing around the areas of operations of the company. Apart from complying with the international standards of Governance, Environment, Health & Safety, Norex is also a signatory member of the United Nations Global Compact Network in India and is committed to conducting business operations to ensure a sustainable environment and communities.

The promoter of the company Mr. Vaibhav Agrawal said, "Sustainability is the way we conduct our business operations at Norex, also about mint farmer communities whose livelihood is dependent on mint farming. We are committed to a change in their lives by using innovative and sustainable methods while contributing to the SDGs."
