Job Summary
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven professional to join our sales team here at AFI! Depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate, the position may be titled VP of Sales or Senior Sales Rep. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of progressive fragrance sales experience, exceptional strategic thinking skills, and a proven history of exceeding revenue goals. As a member of our sales team, you will play a crucial role in leveraging tools and technologies to meet clients’ needs while driving revenue growth and market expansion for our company.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute innovative sales strategies that achieve targets and expand our customer base, leveraging your industry expertise.
- Consistently maintains a strong focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPI’s with a track record of consistent performance and success.
- Proactively identify and pursue high-potential sales leads, setting up impactful meetings with prospective clients.
- Deep understanding of the fragrance industry, including market trends, key players, product knowledge, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing personalized solutions.
- Must have advanced negotiation skills to close deals effectively while maximizing profitability and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Communicate customer requirements and manage customer expectations by effective internal communication.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively pursuing new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
- Maintain and build knowledge of customer's brands, products, markets, and competitors to identify and guide new business opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and network with potential partners and clients.
- Deliver persuasive sales presentations and product demonstrations that effectively communicate our value proposition to potential clients.
- Collaborate seamlessly with marketing, R&D, product development, and customer support teams to align sales initiatives and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and report on key sales performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to refine service offerings, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve.
- Provides detailed and accurate sales forecasting through the use of Salesforce.
- Oversee key accounts with exceptional attention to detail, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to maximize revenue.
- Commitment to upholding high ethical standards and integrity in all sales practices and interactions with clients/opportunities.
- Recommends sales strategies and tactics for improvement based on market research and competitor analysis. Improves cross-department alignment.
- Ensures all communications are coordinated and supports sales plan objectives to meet organizational requirements.

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred with over 10 years of fragrance sales experience. No degree still applies if having 10 years of relevant experience.
- Commercially astute; able to effectively build and manage a customer portfolio and appreciate key trends in the market.
- In-depth knowledge of advanced features and analytics provided by CRMs (e.g. Salesforce)
- Technical Proficiency: Familiar with Sales and CRM software (Salesforce), as well as proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for sales activities and data management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Willingness to travel
