Furfuryl thioacetate (FEMA# 3162, CAS #13678-68-7) acts as a key component for coffee flavors. Its dark roasted and subliminal, soft sulfur notes represent the scent of freshly ground coffee. When dosed in smaller quantities it can go into many kinds of roasted flavor types—for example, into vegetable, meat or nut flavors.
