Sol de Janeiro Announces Two Executive Hires

Personal care brand and fragrance brand Sol de Janeiro announced the hiring of two strategic executives. “Sol de Janeiro was built on the belief that connection is powerful, and people are everything,” said chief executive officer Heela Yang. “Laurie and Elaine are exceptional leaders with the vision, empathy and rigor to help us grow with soul.”

Laurie Lovett has formerly served as chief global people officer at Nielsen and Verisk. She also spent 20 years working at Accenture in their human resources department. At Sol de Janeiro, Lovett will lead the company’s human resources, social impact and ESG efforts. 

Elaine Paik is the former chief financial officer of Impossible Foods. Throughout her career, she has been known for guiding companies through movements of massive scale, complexity and change. Paik will lead Sol de Janeiro’s finance, IT and legal teams. 

With these two hires, 71% of Sol de Janeiro’s C-suite is comprised of women.
