Lecheq Farm & Distillery is an origin-direct, certified-organic producer based in Zaqatala, Azerbaijan. We have revived the region’s historic distillation industry, bringing it up to modern, international standards while preserving the soul of the Caucasus terroir. Our own fields cultivate Rosa damascena (185 ha at the core of our estate), Lavandula angustifolia, Mentha × piperita, and Salvia sclarea; we also work with Artemisia annua (wormwood, wild-cultivated) and other native Caucasus botanicals to broaden the palette for our partners.
Our distillery sits in the heart of the rose fields, so blooms move from hand to still at peak freshness. The site is engineered for aroma integrity and repeatability: 17 copper hydro-distillation tankers dedicated to rose oil; zero-air-contact storage for rose water (no preservatives added); two stainless-steel steam units for other botanicals; and a phenylethyl alcohol (PEA) extraction unit reclaiming valuable fractions from rose processing. Each harvest day, up to 1,800 local pickers supply fresh flowers, with every lot tracked by an automated picker/batch reporting system for full transparency. Our annual rose oil output is up to 200 kg, with consistent organoleptic quality season after season.

Our own fields in Zaqatala span 185 ha of Rosa damascena at the core of the estate, plus 5 ha of Lavandula angustifolia (lavender), 1 ha of Mentha piperita (peppermint), and 0.5 ha of Salvia sclarea (clary sage). We also work with wild-grown Artemisia annua (wormwood) and can provide additional botanicals from Caucasus on request.From these crops we produce essential oils and hydrosols—specifically rose, lavender, peppermint, and clary sage hydrosols, all food-grade. Our closed, zero-air-contact process keeps rose water pure (no preservatives needed), and a dedicated PEA (phenylethyl alcohol) extraction unit recovers high-purity rose fractions. Everything is traceable and origin-direct, ready for fine perfumery, cosmetics, flavor, and pharmaceutical applications.
